DCC Send: What do I need to send files

For sending files, you need access to a DCC relay proxy. This proxy allows you to send files even when your phone's internet connection passes one or more network address translators (NAT.)

There is a demo proxy gateway configured with WirelessIRC, but without any support and without guaranteed availability! Use is on your own risk!

You can operate your own DCC relay proxy for WirelessIRC!

Download this Java 1.4 source code, compile and install it on a computer which is connected to the internet without a NAT and firewall. Then configure WirelessIRC to use this computer's hostname and DCCrelay port.

Quick Guide:

-Upon successful installation, a "tape" icon appears on the bottom middle of your phone screen. You can choose to hide the icon by pressing "Options->Settings", and change "Hidden Mode" to "Always" or "When Idle".

-To automatically record phone calls, press "Options->Settings", and set "Automatic Mode" to "on", then all the calls will be recorded automatically. Also set the "Recording Limit" to 0 so that the whole call will be recorded.

-Set recording limit to 0 if you need unlimited length recording. The actual recording length depends on the free disk space.

-Press "Options->Settings", and turn "Warning Beep" on/off according to your needs.

-When it's off, no beep during call recording!

-Press hotkeys anytime to record, stop, pause and play. You don't need to open Ultimate Voice Recorder in order to use hotkeys.

-Default hotkeys to record, stop, play ans pause are "#0", "#7", "#1" and "#8".
Or press abc/pen three times to start/stop recording.
Or press PPT three times to start/stop recording.

-Press "Options->Settings", scroll down to the bottom, and enable or disable "Auto start" according to your need. If "Auto start" is set to "Enabled", the application will start up automatically upon phone power up. Be aware that by default, "Auto start" is disabled!.

-Press "Options->Settings", and scroll down to turn on "Ask before saving" if whether you need the confirmation before the software saves a recorded clip. Default is

-Press "Options->Settings", and scroll down to "Aborted recording" and choose the option according you your need.

-Use left/right key to mark multiple clips for sending.

-Open Ultimate Voice Recorder and press "Options->Settings" to change hotkeys and other options such as recording limit, recording format, automatic recording of phone calls, automatic deletion of clips.

-After your phone powers up, wait until the tape icon appears on the bottom of the phone before using hotkeys! If no tape icon appears after a few minutes, launch

-Ultimate Voice Recorder and exit, then the tape icon will appear and hotkeys will be ready.

-You can also launch Ultimate Voice Recorder directly to perform recording and playbacks.

-Open Ultimate Voice Recorder to browse and edit all the recorded memo and phone call clips.

-Press "Options->Settings" to adjust hidden mode to specify when to show the tape icon - always, never or only while idle.

-Press "Options->Settings" to adjust how to handle interrupted recordings - you can specify the software to automatically restart the recording, or to prompt a message asking your permissions.

-To use Nokia PC suite software to copy recorded clips to your PC, open the "c:\nokia\UltimateVR" and "e:\UltimateVR" directories on your phone in the file explorer of the PC suite. All the recorded clips are in those two directories.
Don't use Nokia PC suite software to delete recorded clips on your phone, use Ultimate Voice Recorder to do so instead.

Menstral

Menstral a.k.a menstrual calendar for mobile phones, also called an ovulation calendar. Menstral tracks women's menstrual cycles and indicates the fertile days. It runs on any mobile phone.



How to install on your mobile phone?

To install Menstral, navigate to http://menstral.net/ on your mobile phone, and then select the link to the language you prefer.

The other way is to download the jar to your desktop computer (use the language links above), and afterwards to copy the jar to your mobile using either the infrared connection, bluetooth, or a data cable. In this case you don't neet the jad, the jar is enough.

WLIrc 2.0

Full Screen Caller

Do you want to see a person who is calling you more clearly and in details? Well, use Best Full Screen Caller and your wish will be granted! Best Full Screen Caller can show you the big picture of a person when you are receiving a phone call if this person is stored in your contacts database!



How does it work:

During the call, Best Full Screen Caller shows big picture and detailed information associated with the contact.

To have Best Full Screen Caller showing a big picture during the call, you have to activate it - simply click Activate in the main view of the application.

Best Full Screen Caller allows associating a big picture with each contact, group or even unknown caller. To set the picture, click Picture in the main view of the application, select the contact or the group and set a picture for them using menu item Select picture.

Flexible layout options of Best Full Screen Caller allow customizing the appearance of the screen shown during the call.

Settings

In this dialog you can configure the following settings:

* Show on - defines whether to show the screen during outgoing and incoming calls
* Backlight - normal or always on during a call
* Sort order - defines sorting order for pictures in Picture dialog and name order format
* Picture quality - defines quality of big photo
* Text font
* Show title - allows showing or hiding the title pane, when the title is hidden, caller's picture can be a little bigger
* Picture size - defines the size of the photo; maximum photo size is calculated as screen size minus the size of buttons bar and minus the size of title pane (if it is shown)

Layout dialog

To customize the options of default Layout, open Picture dialog and select Edit layout command from menu.

If the caller belongs to a group with a custom Layout, then the settings of Layout for this group will be used to display the picture. To set a custom layout for a group of contacts, select a group in Groups tab and choose Create layout command from menu.

Caller information screen can be adjusted with the following options:

* Display mode - full screen mode, detail mode, full screen detail
* Photo v-align - vertical align of photo
* Photo h-align - horizontal align of photo
* Caption v-align - vertical align of caption
* Details opacity / Details color - defines the transparency and color of details list-box
* Background - allows setting as background current theme, custom solid color or picture
* Background picture - this option is accessible when Background is set to Picture and is used to select a picture for background
* Text color - this option is accessible when Background is set to Picture or Color
* Selection text - this option is accessible when Background is set to Picture or Color
* Background color - this option is accessible when Background is set to Picture or Color
* Highlight opacity / Highlight color - defines transparency and color of caption and listbox highlighted item; this option is accessible when Background is set to Picture or Color
* 1st, 2nd, 3rd Caption fields - allow choosing which information exactly about the caller will be shown in the caption
* Detail fields - allows showing or hiding fields in detail mode

You can preview the outcome of your settings selection with help of Preview command.
